Because feeling more alive, more human, and more connected shouldn't be a rare experience—it should be part of real life.

Yes, and Let’s clear something up…

When most people hear "improv," they think comedy shows and being put on the spot to be funny. We get it—that sounds terrifying.

But here's the thing: you're already a real-life improviser. Every conversation where you don't know what the other person will say. Every time plans change and you adapt. Every moment you respond to your kid, your boss, your partner without a script.

That's improvisation. And here's what else is true: real life is improvised. Most of what happens each day is unscripted, uncertain, and unknown.

We're here to help you feel more capable and confident in those moments—with others, through play, and without any stage or audience.

What Happens in a class?

What does a class actually look like?

You'll play games with partners. You'll laugh—at yourself, with others, at the silly and surprising moments that emerge. You'll try new ways of responding without overthinking.

And you'll leave feeling lighter and more connected — maybe even a little braver for all those improvised moments waiting for you out there.

No stage. No audience. No pressure to be funny. Just showing up and seeing what happens.

Claire Slattery created Improv Central because she needed it, too — a place where real-life improvisers (parents, partners, professionals, people) can show up as themselves.

After years of performing, teaching, and leading in both creative and corporate spaces, Claire saw the gap: most people need improvisation skills for everyday life, not the stage. She founded Improv Central to create a home for people to build presence, play, and bold connection in the moments that actually matter.

Claire brings big-hearted energy, has been described as a beautiful mix of ‘class & sass’, and holds the deep belief that everyone is already an improviser—whether you're parenting, presenting, or just trying to feel more like yourself.
